Online & Internet Cable TV

Because the price of cable television is always on the rise, many people are using internet cable TV. All it takes is a computer and an internet connection. Some sites may charge a fee per show, but many sites allow you to watch online cable TV for free. You will need to have a high-speed internet connection, using a connection such as dial-up will cause your TV shows to stutter and freeze.

If you do not want to sit and watch internet cable TV on your computer screen, you can use your television as a computer monitor and watch all of your favorite shows on the big screen. Connecting your TV to your computer is a rather simple task. All you need to do is connect an S-Video cord from your computer to your television, and go into the computers display setting and add a new monitor. Follow the on-screen instructions, if successful you will see the computer desktop on your television screen. Most new televisions and computers come standard with an S-Video port.

There are several websites that provide internet cable TV services. Not all of them are free, so be sure to read everything about the site before you agree to any terms and conditions.

Some examples of the free online cable TV services are:

  • Hulu.com
  • Streamick.com
  • OvGuide.com
  • Myeasytv.com

Another way you can watch online cable TV is to visit the specific channel’s website like ABC.com, Fox.com, ESPN.com, and others. You will only be able to see shows that air on that particular TV station, but if you have a favorite show that you watch every week, you can usually find those episodes on these sites.

You can also download internet cable TV software that will allow you to have access to thousands of channels. Most software companies charge a one-time downloading fee for the software only, but there is no monthly fee for the service.  Why pay the high prices of cable TV, when you can watch it for free with online cable TV? Be sure to read everything about the software you are going to download to your computer. Some companies will advertise a free software download, but will charge you a one-time fee to gain access to their service once the program is installed.
