Time Warner Cable is more expensive than Comcast with their cheapest package starting at $49.95 per month. With Time Warner, you can get a less expensive rate (around $33 per month), but it requires bundling your cable with other services. Time Warner also has the low customer service rating as the other cable television providers. Pro’s are: on demand features, several packages to choose from and plenty of television content.

Cox cable television services are comparable to Time Warner in price with a basic package starting at $49.99 per month. And once again if you choose to bundle your services your cable bill will be reduced to $33 per month. Cox also has a similar rating at just over 2-1/3 stars. The pro’s are: rare outages, DVR and free HD.

Depending geographic location, your cable television services can be limited. If this is the case, you may want to consider checking out satellite television providers. Because satellite services are broader reaching they tend to be more competitive in price. Here is a list of the 2 cheapest and most common satellite providers.

Satellite Television Providers
Dish Network is the cheapest, at $24.99 per month for 12 months. Plus, free HD for life. Once again, on customer service Dish Network was found lacking with a slightly higher rating of almost 2-1/2 stars. The pro’s of Dish are as follows: ease of use, price, DVR service, and lots of channels.
